wobblywill
Just heard through the grapevine Aunt Sallys pub near Hallamshire Hospital is closing down on Thursday of this week. Always thought its was a popular place and did well

Bilge
Good. It's a shocking place, with cheap and nasty food, service and attitude. Let's hope for something better in its place. It only did well because it was somewhere to park near the Hallamshire.
Halibut
It was pretty grim, it's no great loss really.

Ousetunes
I have heard weatherspoons have bought it. Think I'd rather it shut down than be taken over by this lot. Tracksuit wearing shirkers will travel large distances for the cheapest pint in town (see Bankers Draft, the Swim Inn &c for further details). As for the Aunt Sally, it was par for the course by way of cheap food for not a lot of money. Admittedly, you had to have patience to endure a longish wait whilst kids ran amok amongst prams but anyone expecting anything better is sadly deluded. The signage outside simply spells 'avoid' to me.
