Who has the master plan to close all village pubs and shops? Villages are fast becoming deserts for any forms of meeting / socialising facilities. Will there be a reversal - cannot see it ? I left Aston in January, but prior to that both places seemed dead. the odd handful of regulars for a pint after work. not really sustainable. I did hear before christmas the Bluebell was supposed to be being done up so that it would serve more food- I take it that hasnt happened. Yellow Lion tried using groupon to get people in.. but they didnt get the basics right.. cobwebs/generally looking dirty/a dog wandering about while you were eating (presumably the owners) its a shame because that area has modest incomes.. I lived round the corner from aston hall..but wouldnt have given going to either pub a second thought Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
