Out of tune Frank Sinatra was over rated,  if it wasn't  Mafia backed  he wouldn't have gone as far,  for example they made sure he got a part,  in From here to eternity ect,  Give me Matt Monroe anytime, ten times better than Sinatra.  .  Elvis couldn't act for toffee but at least he admitted  it,  most of is films were rubbish , he also admitted that too. Compared with the garbage these days you can't  blame a young skint truck driver for as far as he got and inspire millions in the music buisness.

Totally agree.

Very flat and had no range, every song he sang was, as Simon Cowell would say,  may I ad, knows his stuff, were all  classed as safe,  I've seen better club turns.  :hihi:

Sinatra was the best crooner the world has heard, Monroe was OK, but no Sinatra. As for Elvis it took me many years to appreciate him, which I do, very much so.

Sinatra was I agree the best crooner ever ! Matt Monroe was ok but not in Sinatras league. I never used to like Elvis but so like his rendition of “ You are always on my mind” that I have been won over !

Sinatra walked slowly onto a stage and completely partnered it, Elvis stormed onto a stage and completely conquered it.

I wish I was beause then I wouldn't have heard all the bad notes he bellowed out, I remember him singing along side of Elvis on a show once and apart from looking about 90 which sinatra actually always did  even in his youth.  He sounded rubbish at the side of Elvis, it was like Bradley Walsh singing at the side of Mario Lanza.  ( Bradley Walsh being Sinatra of course.)  :hihi:
