Solomon1
To this point is my mind reduced by your fault, my girl, and has so ruined itself by its own devotion, that now it can neither wish you well though you should become the best of women, nor cease to love you though you do the worst that can be done. that's deeeep man you get dumped by this bird den? Halibut
Snow is falling Snow is falling From the sky above Snow is falling Put on scarf and glove Snow is falling Go look outside Snow is falling The old landscape it hide Snow is falling What a beautiful sight Snow is falling It sparkles in the light Snow is falling Soft cotton wool flakes Snow is falling A white blanket it makes Snow is falling Short flowers disappear Snow is falling The cold is here Snow is falling Its time to play Snow is falling Lets make snowmen today Micron Appalling. If a ten year old had written it, fair play. If it was an adult, it's just very poor indeed.
Solomon1
The Prophet You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow Khalil Gabran

hazel
I'm trying to write a limerick that starts "There once was a man from Sri Lanka", but I'm struggling to find rhyming words for the rest of it. Can anyone help? From Sri Lanka there was a man who rhymed bcause he can reverse the word and this occurred each time the rhyme began. hazel
millhouses24
that's deeeep man you get dumped by this bird den? Nah, that's Catallus. If I could write with a hundredth of his talent or have a hundredth of all the random Roman sex he had I would be a very happy person. I like that poem because it sort of sums up that stage when you are with someone and you have got beyond liking them or disliking them and it's just bloody annoying and reducing your brain to emotional mush. I also love the way Catallus calls the woman in question (rumour has it she was another man's bird - naughty naughty ) "my girl". I think the Latin is puella. (although saying that I now have a horrid feeling I made a balls up of the quotation and in that actual poem he uses the term Lesbia rather than puella )
