Solomon1
His blue eyes When I look into his beautiful blue eyes Everything changes The sky's orange instead of blue The grass is green instead of brown My heart's warm instead of cold. His smile gives me a reason to live. His laugh is what keeps me going. His hugs make me feel protected.. Strong.. Invinceable.. When he holds me close, It's like the best feeling you could ever experiencee.. But better. When his lips reach mine.. I can't breathe.. I can't think.. But I know.. It's love. Solomon1
Why Marriage? Because to the depths of me, I long to love one person, With all my heart, my soul, my mind, my body... Because I need a forever friend to trust with the intimacies of me, Who won't hold them against me, Who loves me when I'm unlikable, Who sees the small child in me, and Who looks for the divine potential of me... Because I need to cuddle in the warmth of the night With someone who thanks God for me, With someone I feel blessed to hold... Because marriage means opportunity To grow in love in friendship... Because marriage is a discipline To be added to a list of achievements... Because marriages do not fail, people fail When they enter into marriage Expecting another to make them whole... Because, knowing this, I promise myself to take full responsibility For my spiritual, mental and physical wholeness I create me, I take half of the responsibility for my marriage Together we create our marriage... Because with this understanding The possibilities are limitless Mari Nichols-Haining
Solomon1
i first heard an edited version of this poem at a friend's wedding and thought that it was immense . am again drawn to the idea of two separate, whole, beings becoming more than the sum of their parts.....cf the more traditional 'two halves making a whole'
Solomon1
Declutter Stack it, store it, box it, shelve it, Throw it, bin it, gift it, repair it, Recycle, Freecycle, Charity shop or friend Ebay, Antique shop, bargain ad or mend. Books, clothes, tools, electronic games and toys, Guitars, recorders, organs and other noise, Gadgets old and new, that little black dress, Ornaments, adornments, paperwork and mess. Trash or treasure, how do you measure, Sentiment, attachment, pain or pleasure, Own it, hoard it, emotional ties, Deal with it, clear it, open your eyes. Just in case! What a waste! Ah there it is! Not seen this for ages! - Just the bizz, Lose that weight, I remember that date, This I love and that ....I hate This is just stuff and you've moved on, It's belongs in the past - the past is gone, Catalogue it, photo album. select the best, Organise and cherish, discard the rest. Solomon1
I don't expect you soon to love me I don't expect you soon to love me, Nor are my own feelings clear. Passion is the ornate entrance To a world we crave and fear. We cannot know where this will take us, Nor whether we will ride for long, But pleasure is the overture That flows into the larger song. So come with me with open mind And heart, and we the time will prove With laughter and with joy unfettered, And, perhaps, someday with love. grinder
The sexual urge of the camel is stranger than most people think, for some times in moments of passion he tries to make love to the Sphinx's, But the Sphinx's posterior passage is blocked by the sands of the Nile, Which accounts for the hump of the Camel and the Sphinx's Superior smile....
