Phoenix Live presents Laruso, Cuba Cuba & Blitz Kids - 26th Nov, FREE ENTRY!

Bar Phoenix @ the HUBS, Paternoster Row. From 8pm.

Laruso

Sheffield-based five-piece Laruso are ready to make an impact in 2010. The eclectic rock newcomers’ first full-length release - A Classic Case Of Cause And Effect - showcases their ability to fuse the musical beauty with the beast - combining delicate melody and sensitive dynamics with hard-hitting instrumentals and shuddering, epic power.

Cuba Cuba

Having worked with producer Romesh Dodangoda (FFAF, Kids in Glass Houses, The Blackout, Twin Atlantic) several times in the last year Cuba Cuba have drawn the attention of quite a few people. Recording a BBC Radio 1 Live Session for Huw Stevens and Bethan Elfyn's shows in March 2009, also receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio Wales, Xfm and Nation Radio as well as guest hosting Nation Radio's first ever date.

Blitz Kids

Blitz Kids supply a carefully refined sound that seemingly hops from genre to genre. The songs here are fresh, intriguing and absolutely captivating, showcasing the kind of seasoning that belies the band's young years.

“Blitz Kids are a schizophrenic force to be reckoned with. They're the type of band that will have you headbanging, shaking your arse and singing along all in the same breath.” Rock Sound Magazine
