THE MAGI

http://www.myspace.com/wearethemagi

The Magi who sound like Oasis scrapping with The Who with Noddy Holder on vocals. It's simple, balls to the floor rock music and their dedicated following have got the place jumping.

Top Song: Blue Eyes (In The Smoke)

LA FOLIE

http://www.myspace.com/lafolieband

"Songs such as Count Duckula evoke the band's risus sardonicus-like musical condition. With menacing swirling organ and desperate-sounding vocals, there's a dark, fairground quality to the track."

Rachael Clegg Sheffield Telegraph

"La Folie are ambitious and talented musicians and if they want to change the way music is played, we should let them and listen."

Richard Oldale Sandman Magazine

KETAMINE KIM

http://myspace.com/ketaminekimband

'Ketamine Kim, wild garage rockers with a dirty, rough sound' Sheffield Telegraph

'Local favourites Ketamine Kim played their trademark raucous set in front of their Union Jack backdrop - though this only lasted a few numbers before it fell, probably due to the Keith Moony windmill drumming. The vocal duties were shared between guitarists Joe and Fionn and Moony kept things driving along. There was a very brief jazz interlude and a last song wig-out, but this 'shambolic band' (their description) again proved their popularity and it was fun to pick out the Smiths/Clash/Jam influences' Counterfeit mag.co.uk
