Field Music are an experimental pop band from Sunderland, UK.

 

The band have been busy recording their third Field Music record and I'm happy to say the 20 track double-album is now finished! It has been titled 'Field Music (Measure)' and is due to be released through Memphis Industries in early 2010.

 

Field Music was formed by brothers Peter and David Brewis and their schoolfriend, pianist Andrew Moore. They have recently reconvened after an extended hiatus with a new line-up featuring guitarist / keyboardist Kev Dosdale and bass player Ian Black.

 

This gig will be great, they have been utterly astonishing at their recent sold out warm up shows. So, as well as showing off tracks from their new ambitious and dazzling double album, expect them to romp through their splendid back catalogue too...
