I have 20 years of experience of which I have spent 15 touring and playing gigs with established bands (Hoggboy, Reverend and the Makers). All styles taught! My approach to teaching is based on practical methods, very hands-on but at your pace. I can teach you many rudiments and techniques, time keeping/metronome. I can help you work out how to play your favourite songs or that roll you just can't quite get. I can also show you how to tune your kit and will show you the correct posture. I have PA speakers in my room so any songs you'd like to learn, you can then play along to that song as loud as you like. I offer one to one tuition from my home (Hunters Bar S11) for all ages and abilities on saxophone, clarinet, piano and music theory. Lesson fees are £15 for 30 mins, £20 for 45 mins and £25 for an hours lesson. I offer a free introductory lesson. If you would like to take exams I offer both ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall, jazz and classical Grades 1 - 8, but if you would just like to play for your own pleasure or want to work towards joining a band, then I can help you! Trumpet specialist but teach all orchestral and band instruments. Lesson fees: £15 for 30 mins; £20 for 45 mins; and £25 for an hour. I offer a free 30 minute introductory lesson with no obligation. Preparation for ABRSM practical examination Grades 1 - 8, but if you would just like to play for your own pleasure or want to work towards joining an orchestra or band, then get in touch.
