Less so for Labour voters voting Lib Dems, since at the time of the election they had just finished in coalition with the Tories. But let's ignore it anyway. Conservative + UKIP = over 50% across the UK. Let's also look at England only (since that is what my original statement was about, which you felt the need to question). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_general_election,_2015_(England) Tory vote share: 41% UKIP vote share: 14.1% Total = 55.1% "England is a naturally conservative country".
