slimsid2000
It's because so many taxi drivers are devout Christians and feel they need compensationg for having to work over the festive period.

They should only charge extra when it's their religious holidays, pathetic man with pathetic reasoning. You know we have been through this many a time before and you don't deserve an explanation as if that was going to work it would have worked the past many years you have been repeating such garbage. this is what he wrote in November 2007 Originally Posted by slimsid2000 No, but Muslims shoud not get Christmas off either school or work nor use it as an excuse to charge higher taxi fares. woodmally
The £2 supplement is set by Sheffield city council, as mentioned by redrobbo in another thread. So effectivly we have no competition with taxi's. So does this mean then that whatever taxi you use the rate would be the same as it is decided by the council? No. The supplement for Hackney Carriages (Black Cabs) is set by the Council. What Private Hire companies do is up to themselves.
