DenadaInnit
I would take the advice of the posters advising you not to go ahead with the loan. Aside that, £100 for a week? If you have no bills going out until you get paid, why do you need that much. Cold turkey for a week will be your best bet in the long run. Or, go round to a mates house for your tea. I'm sure you will reciprocate if the need arises.
andyofborg
If you borrow a hundred quid now, you will be a hundred quid short next month and so on. dont forget the fee and interest will have to be paid so the OP will be at least 110 quid short next month
Andy
Can I just point out that the original post was made two years ago? By all means discuss the issue because I'm sure there are many users in the same boat as the OP.

These usurious companies are not family friendly and seek to enslave impoverish people via debt. Is there no way SF could stop the pay-day lenders from advertising on here, or perhaps provide warnings to people? They really should be outlawed above a certain interest rate! Andy
I don't have anything to do with the advertising. If you send through a Helpdesk ticket I'll make sure it gets passed to the site owner though.

Don't think I've got the energy to post a thread about next months housing benefit increase.

The Consumer Credit Act 1974 as amended allows a debtor to challenge a penally high interest rate.

Cynic
Nothing wrong with Payday loans whatsoever, they offer a great service to those that have screwed up all other avenues of credit. Life is about choices. If I needed quick money until my next paycheque, I wouldn't hesitate to use one. They always get loads of stick for their ridiculous interest rates but if you have really got into a situation that means you need money to eat then there is little alternative. Loaning £100 to a someone who can't get credit elsewhere and asking for £10 interest when they pay back in a few weeks doesn't sound that bad really. The APR on that would be really high though and people would say it was a rip off.
