Lol i dont know why but i must addmit when we went shopping the other day for our xmas shop we had a trolley each and spent a wopping £244 on 2 adults 2 small kids.

And that was without the veg and wine for the dinner.

I just think you buy a lot more things that you wouldnt usually buy, lots of treats and stuff and also when the family is at home for 2 weeks we need to have a lot more food in.

Its always the same at Asda Handsworth. You'd be better off going to the end of the Parkway, through Canklow in Rotherham, and do your shopping at Tesco in Rotherham centre. Went there at 8:30pm last night, car park not even half full, didn't even have to queue for a checkout. Only about 10 mins from Handsworth but will save you a lot of time and stress.

It's 3 days this year as Christmas Day is on the Friday so there'll be no shops open till Monday, and even that's a bank holiday so most will be shut.

I have always wonder this before. Was not till i did a xmas shop with mum last year that i think i may have found out. But many have a army to feed over xmas and like my mum buys a loads of offers or snacks. She buys all the food for xmas dinner that a 3 course one for all 18 of us, then the food for a party at xmas night, then the food for a boxing day meal for my step dad's family when they visit, plus drink and her normal shop to last her till the shops opens in the new year. So it can be a big shop over xmas for some people.

I had to laugh when I went Morrisons on Monday about mid-day in Hillsborough and thought I would pick up a couple of Pizza's for my dinner/tea. Picked them up without a basket, as I thought what was the point?. Anyway, go's to the basket cheakout to find everybody queuing down the wine section and beyond!. It was the same for every single cheakout, all way to the bottom... Whats the point?!. Lets just say, I put them back lol.
