It's basically a money making scheme. Cops blah on about low crime rates and it's no wonder as this is one of the reasons. Why are you going to waste hours of your life listening to a recorded message claiming the call will be answered? Least time I've waited for the call to be answered is 15 mins and that's in the early hours of the morning. Henceforth, I don't bother anymore. I didn't think the 101 number charged by the minute but it was a flat fee per call, regardless of length?
