Allotments at Meadowhead

When I was little (50s) my dad had an allotment at Meadowhead, there was quite a community on there. Our allotment backed onto Chancet wood. There were a lot of pigeon men on there, we kept pigeons, pigs, rabbits and there was a dog who made up my childhood memories, he was a german shepherd (or alsation as we knew them then) he wandered all over the allotments and people fed him. I always thought the he adopted people. Would love to hear memories from those lovely days.
