@ The Harley Glossop Road

Do Or Die has been going for just over a year now at the

Harley initially based on a Monday night, it is a night showcasing the

best new bands from around the world, having previously had on The

Chapman Family, Neon Indian, Airship, Shake Aletti, Futurecop amongst

others. For Tramlines we hosted the day before Club Pony kicked in at

the Harley on the Saturday. All the Do Or Die artwork was designed for

us by Lee Bamforth, who is going to be designing us a special new

poster for the night.

No Uniform has been going a lot longer, it has always had quite an

underground feel. Growing in the three years it has existed. Having

being based at the Harley now for over two years and has a very good

regular crowd that has grown over the years. Focusing on new and

upcoming acts rather than going for the obvious, it has had the

fortune to host many acts just as they rise to the crest of the wave.

It is a mixed genre dance night playing everything from dubstep to

electro. We have previously had on AC Slater, Foamo, A1 Bassline,

Raffertie, Squire Of Gothos, Heavyfeet, Drums Of Death and the list

goes on.

As we wanted to throw an extra special party to celebrate the

respective nights birthdays we decided to do a versus.

So for the night we have got on

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, who recently signed to Gut Records. Their

debut single 'Dance The Way I Feel' gained mass radio play with

backing from Radio one and can be heard at many nights with the

excellent remix by Armand Van Helden. Big things are expected for the

band this year. They unashamedly surf the 80's electro vibe whilst

also bringing it up to date with thumping rhythms.

Jakwob is a dubstep producer. Just 20 years old and is already gaining

much momentum. Having remixed the last two Ellie Goulding singles, he

is set to go off this year. The remix of "Under The Sheets" is heard

regularly on Radio One and playing at such prestige venues and events

including Fabric, Wax:On in Leeds and Birmingham and Camp Bestival

later this year.
