Joolz66
Has anyone been to the new restaurant on west st just opposite the swim inn? Think it used to be Que-Tal not sure of the name now ( The Mangla?) but its advertised as a charcoal grill just wondered what it was like and what sort of food it did
neeeeeeeeeek
I thought it was a new indian called Mangal or something, not sure tho. What ever it is it can't be as bad as Que-Tal.
HotPhil
Turkish restaurant called something like Murgha if memory serves. Saw it being fitted out, not sure it's open yet.
Meaks
Yes it's open, havent been myself but a couple of friends have and seemed to like it. They had mixed kebabs, rice and kofte stew type stuff, said they got a good amount.
Claret
Says it is a charcoal restaurant - assume it will attempt to be something along the same lines as Zeugma.
-MG-
We went in on NYE. We had a selection of starters and as usual ordered too many. The staff were more than happy to box up the left overs. Not something I would usually do but the stuffed vine leaves were too good for the bin. Will be going again when we fancy a few meze's.

Very nice it was too on an unexpected visit last night (ended up in there after no food arrived in another restaurant we were at). Nice atmosphere, excellent service, good food. Hope they do OK, I'll be going again.
josey99
I went to Mangal last night and had the best lamb spare ribs I have ever tasted. My Egyptian dining companion was similarly impressed! Staff are charming too.

Zilly
Not impressed with Mangal (Turkish barbeque) - food, prices or staff Same with both Zeugma these days. We prefer 'Aspalas' on West Street especially at lunchtimes (£6.95 for 2 courses and drink) they are full-size portions too. Yet to try Lokanta at Broomhill.
