Eater Sundae
I posted on a thread in Sheffield Discussion about under-road heating, but thought it better to start a new thread here. Does anyone know if any of the streets around the old bus/tram station had under-road heating (particularly the bus station part at Hawley Street)? I'm thinking of Lee Croft as being the likely one. Does anyone know if it ever existed? If so, is it still in place?
david weston
Was at Townhead St. in early 60's and all the roads around were equally iced over in the winter, so I doubt it. The costs would have been collosal unless it was some govt. trial or similar. The City Engineers records would probably tell you, if any exist.
