Now taking place on the last Thursday of each month we'll continue to bring you the finest in Americana, Alt-Country, Folk, Roots, Blues and anything else inbetween that tickles our fancy. Kicking things off in 2010 we have have rootsy four piece Grassoline and a duo of singer/songwriters in the shape of Andrew Oxley and John Batchelor. Doors open at 8pm and entry is just £3. ***GRASSOLINE*** Chesterfield's Grassoline play a bluegrass influenced brand of alt-country featuring guiter, dobro, fiddle and drums. You may also recognise him from the band Crowley's Dead. His solo material explores a more folk/rock sound that has been compared to the acoustic offerings of Pete Townshend and takes influence from the likes of Rory Gallagher and Richard Thompson. http://www.myspace.com/aoxleymusic ***JOHN BATCHELOR*** John Batchelor is as a singer of modernfolk songs born from experience.
