coaland
I am gathering information relating to the Winco and Stringer-Winco/Smith cars produced either side of WW1 by my family's company, Stringer & Co. Would be glad to hear from anybody with knowledge of these cars - probably by now only anecdotal!
Cyclecar
Try and locate a copy of "Cars from Sheffield", by Myers. They used to sell it in the Kelham Island bookshop. In there there is a good chapter on the Stringer Winco. If you find the remains of one, then the current owner of the Winco works is trying to find same! hazel
There was a thread on these cars years ago with some very interesting posts. Could be still around but not sure how long the threads are kept. A man called Derek said he worked on them. hazel
coaland
Thanks Hazel. I have not been able to find the post either. The Forum Help Desk advise that posts/threads are not usually deleted/expired. Could it have been on a different forum?
