WalkleyIan
Maybe the university will demolish it. difficult as they don't own it. Id be taking a look at the company that chopped down the trees on the land next door. Im sure one of the convenience stores will also have an eye on it as well. Sainsburys have the area pretty well stitched up but Tesco might fancy putting in another express store especially since they lost out on Commonside . I expect the University Arms may not last long once the Henderson's Pub / Bar opens .
Bilge
difficult as they don't own it. Id be taking a look at the company that chopped down the trees on the land next door. Obviously they would have to buy it first. It may be worth them (or whoever else) buying it in order to demolish and then build on the land, or merely to prevent development. Or it may reopen as a pub of course but that seems unlikely these days.
WalkleyIan
Talking to someone in the trade, those metal shutters are expensive to hire each week and basically mean the owners are trying to preserve the inside of the building. It not something you would do if demolition was on the cards. Compare this with Ye Old Harrow & Durham Ox on Cricket Inn road that have been left to the mercy of the vandals. Such a real shame with the Ye Older Harrow a while back someone removed the front door it was possible to see inside the pub still has an old fashioned bar must have been a nice when open . The Durham Ox still has its sign but the bar is long gone now just home to homeless.

Many a good time had in there. Real shame
