katiepalfrey Posted February 25, 2011 Share Posted February 25, 2011 I live just round the corner from the Firwood and found it the most disagreeable pub I think I've been in, although everyone else was eating pies and peas so maybe we interuppted something private? The Blake is lovely, the outside decking is going to be fantastic, and the staff are all really sound, so definitely go and have a pint there! Almost all Walkley pubs are now rubbish I'm afraid. The Freedom is all right. The Blake sounds like it's really good, but I've yet to visit. Its fantastic...and incredibly popular and busy, strange how some people seem to be able to make a good go of a pub yet others cannot.......or don't want to.
