As a country, why do we help our competitors?

and we never raped the whole earth for our own ends?
You have actually swallowed that guff - hook, line and sinker, haven't you? Read a bit of history, for goodness sake, you just make yourself look foolish constantly repeating that mantra.

Britain supposedly had an Empire upon which the Sun never set, but so did most of the European nations. We however, seem to be the only one where its indigenous people are forced to don a hairshirt over it. We've done plenty to redress any sins over the years, time to stop with the constant "Mea Culpa" now, imo.

The same reason why 5.4 million Brits choose to live abroad legally, which is more than any other country.

I wonder why that is? Don't they realise that they're denying themselves the experience of living in McBroon's socially engineered utopia?

Or maybe they do?

Could it possibly be that we have had governments for the last 30 years who do not give a damn for the electorate? Perhaps they see the electorate as a means to an end....that end being their power?

Last 30 years !! thats always been the case since the year dot..get a grip
