Guest
I have come across NVC - Nonviolent communication - in a workshop last year and have since then read a lot about it (I can really recommend Marshall Rosenberg's books, particularly "a language of life", I find the way he writes and explains about communication so encouraging and inspiring. There are also some clips on you-tube, where you can see him in action). The more I read and think about NVC, the more I get into it and understand how we contribute ourselves to frustrating and unsucessful communication patterns. At the time of the workshop I missed the opportunity to take part in a practice group, and now I would like to find like-minded people who are interested in learning and practising NVC. Also, if there are any courses or workshops in Sheffield or nearby places, I'd be grateful if you could let me know about it. Please pm me if you are interested in talking about/practising NVC together, or would like to form a practice group or if you can share some info on training opportunities. Zebra
That's really interesting. I've always been fascinated by communication and took part in counselling training as an initial step. I've never heard the phrase nonviolent communication though. I don't know of anything to help you but I'll be watching the thread with interest
Prairiewd
This is an old thread, I know. But I was wondering if any groups have been formed in Sheffield, as I would be interested in joining one and finding out more about this form of communication. Thanks, Prairie
