Totally agree. No one is saying that the Palistinions are not as guilty of causing terror in the region, no one is saying that any of this is one sided. The consencus though is that if Israel was not so confrontational then things could mellow out enough to stop the reteric and start thinking how people are going to start having to live in peace in the region in this new millenium. We at the fore front of a new age and people are still dragging themselves into conflics that have gone on for thousands of years before. Maybe its time that ALL sides took responcability and admitted their short falls when it comes to finding a peaceful solution to this mess and started knocking down walls and mending bridges for the sake of all man kind because its getting way out of hand and the vacume if war started again could drag everyone into it. Imagine an all out war in the region, maybe even a nuclear bomb goes off from one of the sides. That means the US and us will be in the thick of it, the India / pakistan nuclear peace pact could be put under strain, North Korea could strike on south Korea, The stretched US because someone else has set off a nuke and it was not them, breaking the precidance, could then drop one on the Koreans, China would think **** this for a game of clay soldiers and spit their dummy out, Russia thinks sod the lot of you and the first thing in out air space is going to have more than an hammer or a sickle to worry about... Then again some people would question the credibility of Wikipedia. What neither side seems to realise is that the collateral damage to civilians creates the grievances the perpetuate the situation. I am not sure how North and South Korea fits in though? At the moment things in that part of the world seem to be breaking apart also, maybe not such a big a crack as what is happening in the middle east but the start of world wars starts with the biggest rift, sides get taken and other reginal annamosities spark their own conflics. Given that America would be all over the place like someone who is mid dropping a basket of eggs, it would be an optimal time for the might of North Korea to drop on the south. Highfields Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 One shoots the other the other shoots back..simple solution one stop firing the other no need to shoot back,we hear about superior fire power etc but a rockets a rocket and capable of killing ,it doesn't matter one bit if the rockets kill 1 or 1000 they are all capable of causing loss of life. War is not meant to be fair the ones with the greater power are not about to downsize simply because the other side is short on weaponry. It's amazing that some of us can see logic, common sense, fairness etc. You don't go up to a big guy, hit him and then complain that he hit you harder than you hit him when he puts your lights out, well if you're stupid maybe you would.
