I believe it was the first ten pin bowling alley to open in Sheffield closely followed by Firth Park. When did it close? I remeber the place with fondness it used to be called CBC Bowl annd from memory there was 12 lanes. As you went in the Cafe was on the right and the Juke Box was on the left. The lanes were directly in front. Then Firth park opened 24 lanes then Queens Road did one beter I think it was 48 lanes, with the Heartbeat and Silver Blades above. Remember it well from the 60s There are still at least 3 Bowling Alleys open in Sheffield Hollywood Bowl.
