GOLDEN OLDIE
Can anyone remember having their wedding reception or going to a funeral tea at the Coop? What was the name of the restaurant on Angel Street? Any memories of it?
escort1
Yes, been to functions at both the S&E Co op that used to be a bottom of the Moor (remember going up in that ancient looking lift) and at the B&C in Angel St. Also once went to a function held in Atkinson's restuarent. These sort of places used to be popular before places like foot ball ground function rooms and hotels took over for functions.
Mrs H Solo
I remember attending an office christmas party there in the 70's. I also remembering trying to slide down the stair bannister when we were leaving and I really hurt myself in a spectacular failure.

smary
We had our wedding reception at the co-op on Ecclesall Road - the Jacobean Room and that was in 1967. Can't remember the name of the Angel Street one.
