SHUFFLE presents Foamo + Eddy Temple Morris + HiJack + Warrior One + Skullduggery // Saturday 27th Feb @ 22:30

FOAMO

At the age of 22, Foamo aka Kye Gibbon has already established himself as one of the best producers to come out of the UK in recent years. It’s not often that talent comes rising through the ranks fully formed, undiluted, and with as much potential as Foamo has done. Countless comparisons have been made between him and some of the very finest and he's gained the support of DJs including Diplo, Armand Van Helden and Rob Da Bank. Not bad for a boy from High Wycombe.

Known not only for the depth and quality of his engineering skills (never mind the huge basslines!) but also as a respected DJ, 2009 has seen him tour America and Australia, play to festival-goers across the globe and earn an exclusive residency at Chew the Fat! in the UK and at Space in Ibiza.

One of the next generation of dance music's elite Kye was raised on a heathy diet of drum & bass, grime and garage, but it was through listening to Kissy Sell Out on Radio One that he was introduced to the more house-orientated sound that gave rise to his bass heavy 4/4 productions.

After the success of his first single 'Moving It Over Here' gained him international exposure his recent productions, including some huge La Roux bootlegs, remixes for Diplo & Laidback Luke and Dub Pistols, and 'It's Going Down', his ridiculously heavy collaboration with Lee Mortimer, have been supported by everyone from Annie Mac to DJ Zinc.

With a number of high profile collaborations in the pipeline and his highly anticipated single 'Wardance' about to drop on Skint Foamo looks set to continue on his rise to super-stardom.

HIJACK

Is known for making and playing bouncy, funk-fueled grooves with chunky beats and quirky hooks. His original sound fuses jacking house and techno, with samples from all musical eras and genres. Influences span from James Brown to the Neptunes, and include house pioneers Dave Taylor, Derrick Carter, and Jacob London.

In 2006 Jon began creating tracks and remixes under the HiJack moniker, for his DJ sets and mix tapes. Three years on, he has produced around 40 official HiJack tracks and remixes for a variety of record labels, whilst running his label ‘Jack Union Records’, and releasing projects under his alias ‘Vukasin’.

Since 2006, HiJack has become an established name in the UK’s underground house scene. His debut EP was signed to respected UK label ‘On The Brink Recordings’, gaining support from some of the house music scene’s top DJs. Three more original EPs have followed, including the hugely successful “Jackpot EP”, released on US-based label ‘Potty Mouth Music’, which topped many of the dance industry’s download charts and led to a re-release with Italian-based label, ‘Time Recordings’.

HiJack’s remix projects have also gained notable critical acclaim, and have included reworks of tracks from Majik Johnson, Lee Mortimer, DJ Dan, and Santiago & Bushido, for labels including ‘Underwater Recordings’ and ‘Brickhouse Records’.

His productions have regularly gained support from influential artists and DJs, from Moby to the Crookers, and have received frequent airplay from BBC Radio One DJs; Annie Mac, Dave Spoon, and Kissy Sellout.

HiJack’s DJ sets are known for being packed with unreleased tracks and re-edits, and have generated a large following for his online podcasts and mixes. Over the past year HiJack has performed at venues and festivals across the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia, for some of the world’s biggest dance brands including Ministry Of Sound, Gatecrasher festival, and Space.

In the coming months HiJack will be performing in new territories including South Africa and Ibiza, and will be releasing more music than ever, with new original EPs and remixes.
