Spent many an hour in there and all the other city centre record shops and market stalls around that time. Bought many an ex-jukebox single with the centres punched out. Chris66 Posted February 25, 2010 Author Share Posted February 25, 2010 I can remember my parents buying a Stereogram back in the Sixties. My first pop record was TELSTAR by THE TORNADOES . You had to open a door to reveal the turntable. I was a regular at Violet's as well. I think only RECORD COLLECTOR at Broomhill is flying the independant record store flag in this CIty.
