hennypenny
I am updating this in case there are any more widows or widowers looking for support. I have found that there are several organisations, including Merry Widows http://www.merrywidow.me.uk/ which is for all people who have lost their partners by bereavement. Widowed and Young http://www.wayfoundation.org.uk/ for people who are 50 or under when they lose their partner WAY-UP http://groups.google.co.uk/group/way-up?hl=en?hl=en-GB for people who are over 50 when they lose their partner. WAY is the most active in the Sheffield area, with monthly meetings for the adults and meetings where children can meet with other children who have also lost a parent. It is £20 to join, which brings contact details and a regular magazine. Way-up is also very active nationally with meet-ups most weeks and holidays together etc.
