You mean the disgraceful fact that Sheffield has less branches of Poundland than where you live?

I may live in the Barnsley district ,but Sheffield is my home city and i dont use Barnsley town center. Its worse than sheffield city center, and that is saying something.

Looks like Primark are on the move from Castle Square to the Moor.

Its going to leave another big gap to be filled at the edge of town what with the closure of the Castle Market when the new market opens.

It says it is going next to Debenhams so does that mean there will be no new cinema then :(

At Sheffield city centres current rate of decline its only a matter of time before we look enviously at Barnsley.

No the cinema will still be there. Block one is on four levels. The ground and first floor contains five shop units, a major unit at 80,000 sq ft and four smaller units, ranging from 11,000 sq ft to 5000 sq ft. The third level has 6 units (food outlets) and the fourth floor will contain the cinema!

Interesting point on point 1, page 1

"The development shall begin no later than 3 years from the date of this decision"

Was that in the Hammerson contract? Doesnt look like it was.
