But if you believe that cars have no effect on the damage to roads

I never said cars dont damage roads ,but while ever there are great big ,smelly buses on the roads no no can blame cars for the state of the cities roads.

Buses run on a minority of roads in the city. Cars run on all the roads.

The Star.

 

Seems that it may be some kind of mix of 'good and bad news'.

 

 

I have absolutely no inside knowledge but given it makes more sense now to develop the area in peicemeal fashion, rather than all at once, I wonder if Hammerson have told the council they are going to hang on to the bits of land they own and build some smaller scale (thus lower-risk & more profitable), mixed-use development, leaving the council and a different developer to do something similar with the remaining land.

 

Which would actually work, so long as someone makes it all tie in with each other...

 

Doubt it though.
