What ale is going to be on?

That's what I want to know. :D

The guys I go to the hockey with tend to like the stronger beers (5%+) because it has more flavour, so hopefully they'll at least have 1 or 2 of the stronger local brews.

Regards

There's 3 fruit beers (cherry is my fave ), and (i think) 12 ales but not sure of the names of them all. There is also the usuals, lager, cider, wine etc.

Thanks Wiz, you certainly have a very good selection of real ales and no doubt we will be making a visit at some time.

The only criticism from me would be that they're all roughly the same sort of strength (between 3.8 and 5), you could do with one or two at the higher range (eg. Thornbridge Jaipur/St Petersburg/Raven, Farmers Sixer, Abbeydale Absolution/Black Mass, Acorn Gorlovka/Conquest, Wentworth Gryphon/Rampant Gryphon).

It's probably an age thing, but when I was younger I used to drink all the weaker generic type beers (Tetleys, Stones, John Smiths), but as I've got older I've tended to orientate towards the stronger real ales with more taste.

Good luck with your new venture, the more real ale pubs in Sheffield the better as far as I'm concerned. ;)

Regards
