polo Posted March 8, 2010 Share Posted March 8, 2010 yes i remember christies nightclub, we lived across the river on Winster Rd. i remember the noise and constant police cars because of the fighting. seem to remember a glass window breaking and smashing on the crowd below, i think it was not long after that it was shut down. it was where the old club shop was. Got some free tickets went in and it was empty but for 4 people so we waited to about 11.00 and 4 more walked in. Didn`t go again so I don`t know if it took off? staninoodle Posted September 16, 2010 Share Posted September 16, 2010 i remember it well,had some really great nites in there. it was popular with many from the north of sheffield and surrounds who didnt want to treck into town,some nites it got REALLY packed. more often than not there was trouble. bar was to left at top of stairs as you came through the doors and there was a circular dance floor rite at the bottom end. think license got revoked in the end due to all the fighting,just like its predescesor the ozzie owl club Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
