alot of gamble in cash games is ludacris, you sit down with 100 big blinds and you can just relax without being forced to go allin etc, in a tourny your going to be risking your stack on several occasions in which your going to have to have the luck on your side, you get forced to do stuff you would not normally do. cash is where the moneys at, tournies are where the dreams at, you play them hoping to hit it big one time in one.

Ok, i am not a proffessional player, if you have nothing in the flop then why chase it ?? fair enough if you flop a pair or you could hit a belly buster, then yes bet if you can afford to have a look at the turn. this is what makes poker great.....

in tourny poker, the idea is to end up in a paid seat so my advice to any new player in tourney that has not got much money to lose would be to fold your cards if you have nothing at the flop stage! also i would say not to play anything less than a 10 and never ever play 7-2 worst hand in poker!! this may see you to a paid position.

now i have played less than 10s and 7-2 and have won the hand through bluffs but a proffesional player would not play these hands in most cases

cash games are soooooo different there is no skill involved in these games IMO it just gambleing . i think what the problem is is this if you start your poker days off playing tourneys like i did and after 12months got tempted to the cash table it is very difficult to adapt to the style of play IMO, where as those that start off with the cash table just come to a torney and lose chips through gambleing and then whinge that theres no skill when they got out smarted by the regular tourney players LOL.

Look i am not wanting to have this thread in a big what style is better cash or tourney i have played both and both can be very entertaining just be careful if you have not much money to LOSE . but i would love to take hurstyowl and wufu to poker skool and show you the differnce in cash play and tourney play...... so get your finger out and arrange somet LOL if your men enough !!!! phwooorhahahaha

theres no skill invovled in cash games HAHAHA id love to hear you say that to 100 pros in vegas and see how many agree with you, ill put money on it being none.

do you watch the pros play, wsop highlights? they play all sorts of hands, not just the premium hands, if you just played the good hands you could be waiting a long time, then when you finally get one you have the image of being a rock and dont get any action. your coming out with some comedy gold lol your right in what you say about adapting your game, but completely wrong about being no skill in poker, if there is no skill why is it the top players continue to make their money from it?

poker school lol, i know what the difference is between both and appreciate both are good in their own respects, i play cash to make money, and play tournaments for the excitement and the thrill of chasing the big prize.

okso you have 8-9 hearts, flop comes 6-7-3 with 2 hearts on the flop, you have flopped an open ended straight draw and a flush/straight flush draw. your telling me that if the guy bets and your getting the correct odds to call with the amount of outs you have, that you would fold?

if i was already in money position certainly not i would move allin however if i was not in money position but very close to then i would consider my position and that of my opponent as the hand you describe is i agree very strong but is still not a garauntee.

this is the approach i like to think i would take but with a flop like you described i would be convinced i would hit the nuts and gamble LOL

I make my money from online tourneys and play the cash tables for excitment whats wrong with this!!!!! i still stick by my statement that cash tables are for gamblers lol... I expect you have no problem with roulette? let me just say that majority of top players have an advantage ie they start playing with inhertance money or are sucssesful business owners, technicaly are not losing there own personal worth.

arrange a private online game i want your moneylol

i never said that was wrong. you made the claim that theres no skill in cash poker which is utter tripe, they arent losing players though, yes some of them made money before playing poker but they are still winning millions by playing cash games, id love you to tell pros that theres no skill in cash, laughable hahahahaha :hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi:

Ok you win, skill is required otherwise the same names would not crop up on tourney final tables time and time again so maybe i was a little hasty in my eary comment but the only skill they have is they understand the art of precision betting everything thing else is just luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so good luck in your next game also any pro that says there is no luck involved is a lunatic lol

So not only does he want to sit all night to flop and flush or str8, but now hes going to play nothing but a 10 +. Ok I believe this ....... not. You get zero success with this approach and totally and I mean totally shows you have very little to your poker game.

Don't want to sound harsh, as this is a forum for discussion but the way you talk about poker, it reminds me of when I was a beginner 5 years ago.

I mean the last bit where you say "professional player would not play these hands in most cases", now this just makes me think your trolling this topic. I'm not sure whether to keep taking your bait.
