Paul _d_99 Posted March 20, 2010 Share Posted March 20, 2010 Hi Guys, I was wondering if some of the locals might be able to help me , I am orginsing a stag weekend in april and was looking for a good club around and also and good places to catch some food pub grub or anything will do tbh we are satying in the jurys inn and anything walking distance from that would be ace. jake Posted March 21, 2010 Share Posted March 21, 2010 The Devonshire Cat is worth a look for solid pub fare - it wont win any awards - but it sells food on a sat up till 7ish & fills you up - plus its got a very large range of real ales & continental beers - about 5-10 mins from Jury's Inn http://www.devonshirecat.co.uk If you've got time - London Rd is worth a detour - loads of cheap chinese/thai/vietnamese plus turkish places up there... Club wise - what are you into? If you give us a clue (indie, rock, togged up, dance etc etc) - hopefully someone can point you in the right direction... Also it is on west street which is where alot of bars and clubs are. and like jake said, there is a club for everyone here after youve had your fill of the bars n pubs. Night clubs if you want a big club with lots of different rooms go to embrace. If you want a smaller club with an over 21's crowd come to crystal, music is soul, funk, commercial, some 80s cheese, a bit of everything, if you want guestlist at crystal give us a call on 01142 725926. yoisback Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 By the sound of it you’ll like Babylon a 90’s bar in city centre. And it’s pretty decent and good venue for a stag week end. They got a VIP area which you can book online for free. One of my friends booked the VIP for their birthday and it was all decorated and stuff, was a good night.
