Tories 'airbrushed' ethnic minority candidates from campaign leaflets

Recommended Posts

Have you seen our very own Megg Munn? The good folk of Sheffield Heeley will be delighted that as a plain vanilla MP she has had the good fortune to have represented them in the last year on expenses paid trips to Chile, Palestine, Israel, New Zealand and Kurdistan. Though to be fair she does seem to spend more time in Sheffield than some local MP's, or she has a better PR machine.

Dont forget flying to the Pacific islands, so she could fly back and tell us not to fly because of "climate change." I look forward to the opportunity to vote against her on May 6th. Hopefully all the other good people in Heeley shall be doing the same and showing this little self serving hypocrite piggy the door to the retirement sty.

There were pics in Sundays Observer.

Odd how this story seems to be only reported in the guradian with no images to backup the claim. No other reputable news sites have picked this up.

I'm still not going to form an opinion until I have seen the supposed airbrushed images, but if this is already 2 days old and no one else is looking to report it, it would seem to be a none story and nothing more than a badly thought out smear attempt at the Labour supporting Guardian newspaper.

The article was comparing apples with oranges.

The flyers which were "all white" were flyers on behalf of Simon Jones, a prospective Tory candidate for Parliament.

Who and what was portrayed in those flyers is down to him and how he thinks he can best garner support.

The fact that there are also Tory candidates for the local Council elections should not obligate him to include their pictures on his flyers.

All Tory candidates (including ethnic minorities) have appeared on their flyers for the Council elections.

This shows the photoshopping where a candidate has been cut and pasted on one of the Council Flyers.

Not unusual, really.

Of course there were. The Observer/ Guardian is effectively the Labour Party's PR department so it's no surprise they should be implicated in this pathetic smear campaign.

Trouble is a title like that, that they removed dark faces is enough to get them lots of votes, some people wont even bother looking at the details, they`ll assume that the tories arent fond of people with lots of melanin in their skins and vote on the strength of that alone.

Come to think about it ... when Labour receive bad light in the news a story like this surfaces. If this had been a real story other news agencies would have been reporting on it.

Could the Guardian and labour be colluding to try to sway attention away from even more labour sleaze?

David Cameron's (Smarmy Dave) claims to have made the Conservative party less racist and more inclusive have suffered a blow.....

Hardly a blow when you consider 3 Labour parliamentarians have just been caught trying to subvert our laws for money.

From Jack Straws comments this morning, the only real problem Labour appear to have with the practice is that they got caught!
