Chris BIO
After putting our weekly bar sessions on ice for the time being, the BIO family are proud to introduce our new baby... SUBJECT* Bank Holiday Launch Party Friday 30th April @ SAWA, Arundel Gate, Sheffield (next to the O2 Academy) featuring INLAND KNIGHTS (Drop Music) Plus residents Chris Moore & Paul Growns Matt Housley Inland Knights have been there, done it and printed their own t-shirts when it comes to house music in the UK. From their early days running with Nottingham's mighty Smokescreen Soundsystem, right through to celebrating "10 Years of Drop" at Fabric, it's safe to say these boys know what's what when it comes to chucking a few tunes down. They recently smashed Back to Basics a new one and have touched-down in destinations as varied as Sydney, Texas, Shanghai & Amsterdam with their funky take on bottom-heavy underground house, so it’s our great pleasure to welcome them back to Sheffield for some Bank Holiday Bigness™. Of course, they're not just DJs - they also own Drop Music, one of the finest and most consistent house music labels out there. Drop has released some of our favourite ever tracks and has been a creative vehicle for not only the Inland Knights themselves but a host of top beat-making talent. The success of Drop and the quality of their productions really put the Knights on the radar, thus the lads can boast an enviable back catalogue full of releases on 1st class labels such as NRK, Amenti, Om, So Sound, Tango & 20:20 Vision, plus they’ve remixed the likes of Crazy P, Swirl People, Faithless, Majik Johnson, Pete Dafeet and Random Factor to name but a few. Not too shabby eh? Look, we'll keep it short and sweet as there's really not much more needs to be said; Genuine globe-trotting DJ talent kicking-off the Bank Holiday weekend in style at your local friendly neighbourhood SAWA - what's not to like?!?! Info: Subject* is an irregular series of intimate, one-off parties at SAWA in the heart of Sheffield. Let’s keep this special. Capacity is limited and no advance tickets are available, so early arrival is recommended to avoid disappointment. Entry is a £5er, doors are 10pm til 4am. We’ll also have SAWA bossmen Monkz & The African on duty to nice up the area with some sunny vibes in the downstairs bar. Please Come Correct.
