Child forced to join in act of worship.

Recommended Posts

I thouhgt you might.

...and I thouhgt(sic) you might have thought that.

There's no question to answer. The "?" was deliberately misused.. I was being sarcastic.

Mine was not.

You did more than compare them. You claimed they were exactly the same.

Please provide evidence. (I have already asked that, but you chose to refuse to retract the accusation rather than to back it up. So I won't ask for a retraction this time but tell you to stuff your baseless accusation where the wind doesn't blow, as I am confident that there is no evidence.)

Are you saying that the abuser/s(teacher/s) would close ranks, leaving the child without support; having nowhere and no-one to turn to?

No.

1) I'm assuming that the question mark means that you are asking a question and not being sarcastic. Forgive me if I'm wrong.

2) My anwer consists of one word of only two letters in the hope that not even you will be able to misconstrue it.

Any authority that a teacher may have is irrelevent to the matter in hand. You're effectively saying that it's the "authority" that makes the difference, or am I mistaken?.

Please supply an English translation if you require a reply as to whether or not you are mistaken. If that's a sarcastic question mark, then please ignore.

Christianity is neither torture or pornography. Of all the things to come out with!

The whole basis of christianity is an act which would be classed as torture - a crucifiction. Had jeebus been executed more recently, you might be wearing little silver electric chairs round your necks.

On a more sensible note when my work took me to the home of a Muslim family and they asked me to take my shoes of, I used to comply out of respect to them.

What would you do? Somehow I get the feeling you would not comply.

Many (most?) people ask visitors to remove their shoes. Many visitors take off their shoes without being asked.

Your point?

(My bold.)

Not according to me.

To say that a teacher has no authority in a specific case (to order by threat the singing of hymns) =/= saying that a teacher has no authority.

I have consistently argued that the teacher overstepped their authority, based on information supplied. You can't overstep what is not there.

I think your nut allergy is playing havoc with your brain cells.

First of all I think you are wrong to say a teacher has no authority over their class. X

Consequently you are wrong to say a teacher has no authority. X

Assuming you are right and a teacher has no authority (as if) then according to you he cannot overstep his authority on the grounds that he cannot overstep what is not there. (According to you) X

You are expressing the same flawed logic I see from atheists everywhere, but I am sure Dawkins will continue your education in confusion. X :loopy:

Taking your shoes off is a mark of respect. Apparently you have more respect for peoples carpets than you have for their faith. You make me sick.

It was people like you who crucified Jesus. You are still doing it. You make me sick in that regard as well.

And you believe in god.

I rest my case.

Grahame. I have reposted my post above. Please read it again. Then show me where I have said that a teacher has no authority over their class.

Your lack of comprehension is astounding. I have consistently stated that IMO the teacher has overstepped their authority in a particular case. If they had no authority, how could they overstep it?

You are expressing the same flawed logic I see from atheists everywhere...

...due to your utter lack of comprehension.

...but I am sure Dawkins will continue your education in confusion. :loopy:

Continue? Sorry, never met the guy.

My confusion is all my own.

What's your excuse?

Come on Redwhine, own up. Who have you crucified this week?

Your lot crucified my God. The empty crucifix denotes his victory over death. You will die of your self-confessed allergy to the Christian message.

You said you cannot overstep what is not there and you are correct about your own confusion.

I never said that I take my shoes off, did I?

Why should I show more respect for your faith than you do for my lack of faith?

You make me sick.

Calm down, Grahame. Do what Moses did; take a few tablets.

In that I am human and they were human, yes; people like me crucified jeebus if he ever existed and the babble actually got something right. But they're like you too.

If you do not take your shoes off when asked, or out of consideration for other people then you are totally lacking in respect.

You have no faith so how the heck can I show it any respect. My faith is based on Jesus Christ and the testimony of Roman, pagan and Jewish literature.

Talking about Moses like that is more evidence of your disrespect.
