danot
It was the child not doing the same as all the other pupils that caused the situation.Ok, what did the child do wrong?

harvey19
So I have to single my child out? He said he made up silly words to the hymns because he felt uncomfortable singing them. I said not to sing. He was quite happy to participate in the rest of the assembly. The teacher asked your son to sing the same as everyone else. If the teacher had been aware of a reason for him not to join in he would probably have been excluded from it legitimately.

harvey19
Ever heard of passive resistance? Yes, and as I keep saying if the school had been aware of his feelings I do not think there would have been a problem with him not singing.
