upinwath
Take a look at where the rest of his bloody money comes from. It's all either directly from the US or from people who "owe" the US. It's a big fat sodding bribe for killing people by the thousand.
[Matt]
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin. ...wise words indeed Ben. http://books.google.com/books?id=W2MFAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA270&lpg=PA270t#v=onepage&q=&f=false

millhouses24
I tend to feel the same way as you. ]B]If we make our way of life more restricted and authoritarian, then, to some extent, the terrorists have won. We must protect our way of life by continuing to express it in the way we always have.[/b] Although if my bus to work were to blow up, then my views might change.QUOTE] Thanks, you just said exactly what I wanted to say. Agree 100% with the points above.
eastbank
The thing is that most people recognise that the "terror threat" is virtually non existent so scare tactics no longer work. The last serious terror attack in Britain was in 2005, nearly 5 years ago, so what have all these mysterious terrorists been doing since then? making a film called four lions...:hihi:
slimsid2000
Today's news includes: Nudie airport scanner abuse Police tell internet cafe owners to spy on customers Exploding boobies and bums I don't care. I want my life to be my life. I'll accept the 'threats' of Muslim takeover or 747's dropping out of the sky onto a puppy school. I don't want intrusion, interference, monitoring, restriction, mistrust, paranoia, suspicion of me and my neighbour. How about you? Time for a change? Personally I think i am at greater risk of being the victim of terrorism than being mistook for a terrorist.

Vague_Boy
I tend to feel the same way as you. If we make our way of life more restricted and authoritarian, then, to some extent, the terrorists have won. Supposedly what the terrorists really, really hate about us is our freedoms. Sooooo.... by restricting our civil liberties, aren't we making them happier and happier by the day. As Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Freedom has never been a bargain or the easy option.

altus
Even MPs think things have gone too far. Which I suppose is encouraging, but whether they get anything changed is another matter.
