Titanic99
I just wonder how you can triple a nations wealth by increasing its debts. I have debts so if I borrow on those debts making them bigger then does that make me wealthier? I am confused. No need to be confused, the figure published is net of debt! DragonofAna
No need to be confused, the figure published is net of debt! Thanks. I understand that now Why do you think I pay an accountant? If I understood what you was talking about I would do my own accounts.
Berberis
Um.. it was global? The half the world that avoided it was the poor half that couldn't afford banks in the first place. Is that a fact? I think Australia would have something to say about being called a poor country that cannot afford banking.

Berberis
Well these people don't seem to think so!!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8405901.stm Rubbish, the ONS disagrees. Total net worth of the UK, including financial assets, at the end of 2008 was £6,954 billion. This is a decrease of £177 billion on the previous year. So even at its height the country was never worth 9 trillion. You are over estimating by a huge margin, just like Labour and its lies. Then you have to understand the vast majority of the countries net worth is from the over inflated housing market that prevents the majority of first time buys from ever owning their own homes. The value of our homes is more than 50% of our net worth. For a socialist like you, that should be a major issue, but you completely ignore it because you think it make Labour look good. ref: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=
mj.scuba
Negative campaigning does exactly what it says on the tin and it has it's purpose, it's the job of the opposition to point out exactly how bad this government has been. The blind lefties on here might feign condemnation of negative campaigning by the Tories, but then all we hear off them is how bad it's going to be if the Tories get in. The average wealth of households was put at £204,500." I always understood 39% to be a minority in a percentage of 100%. Anyway back to the point, why are the Tory party not highlighting this fact and instead focusing on something that in comparison is quite irrelevant. Not from me you haven't, I highlighted the positives that the Tories on here don't want to talk about. I'm still confused why the Tories want people to know about our debt, yet refuse to mention our wealth. Surely they aren't embarassed to talk about that aspect of Labours record. Sigh, we've already been through all this on another thread. Nobody's got vastly more moey stashed away in reddies waiting to spend it, it's all down to inflation, house price inflation in particular. So are you saying that it isn't relevant to a thread about negative campaigning, or do just not want to talk about it?
