What lies between moderate islam and radical islam? Is there a middle ground of 'mainly moderate but sometimes a bit radical when I'm feeling pi$$ed'?

 

I would say the middle ground would generally consist of the 99.9999999 % of everyday Muslims who are peaceable, and just want to get on with their lives....

Given the story was on the C4 and BBC news it's hardly an obscure story that one had to "trawl the net" for.

 

Why not just admit that far from being "God's message to mankind for all times" islam is just one of many ancient made up religions and when applied in the modern era it looks barberous and ludicrous, or maybe you have studied the ruling and can provide clear proof the verdict is unislamic?

While we seem to have managed OK since knocking witch hunts on the head several hundred years ago it seems our Saudi friends are still keen on killing witchs. Is this a wonderful example of islamic tollerance being balanced by the need to protect the public from the menace of witchs? Should we import the idea, would we all be safer is Russell Grant was beheaded in Nuneaton town centre? Or is it just another example of how backwards and mediaval wahabis are? Answers on a postcard!

ok, well one little mention of islam, but did i condemn it as yet more proof that islam is the most insane religion on the planet and is inextricably stuck in the dark ages?

Had I said that Saudi Arabia, a country whose constution is the Quran, is proof of the hell on earth that results from the actual implementation of islam as opposed to basically using the legal code of the former colonial power with a few hat-tips to allah added on then it could have been said that it was a "anti-islam" thread.
