lovelace
David ...... sounds like you weren't a fan! Lots weren't. Thanks to some good info from "hillsbro", I've turned up a load of information on Bucko, almost down to what his grandmother had for breakfast last Thursday. I've been told to say "Don't forget Feinberg & Barnes" . (?)

lovelace
I never went to Sharrow Lane school but I lived on Fentonville Street for a while in the 1970s, right next door to Charlie Folger. My eldest daughter went to the school around then.
fatrajah
In the early 1970s I used to work at Sharrow telephone exchange which was/is situated on Aizlewood Road. Is this actually in Sharrow?

Calahonda
A lot quieter, no Hallam University so no student houses, just normal people living normal lives, however it’s is a confusing place geographically, as it is nearly in Nether Edge, Ecclesall and Abbeydale.
