BNP candidate for Brightside arrested for 'threats to kill Nick Griffin'

Doubts over the strength of the relationship between the European states and the United States ebbed and flowed, along with doubts over the credibility of the NATO defence against a prospective Soviet invasion—doubts that led to the development of the independent French nuclear deterrent and the withdrawal of the French from NATO's military structure from 1966.

Are you posting on the wrong thread? I thought this was about Collett and the filthmongers of the BNP?

France has never been a full member of NATO, it dosn't partake in NATO manouvers and holds its nuclear deterant separate from the NATO.

It dosn't contribut financialy towards NATO either.

Whose the dope now.

Didn't you fancy reading the full article?

"France rejoined NATO's Military Committee in 1995, and since then has intensified working relations with the military structure. The policies of French President Nicolas Sarkozy have resulted in a major reform of France's military position, culminating with the return to full membership on 4 April 2009".

Who's (note correct English... for what it's worth) the dope now?

Well you, of course.

You said France wasn't in NATO. I said they were (which of course they are) and you said 'Well yes they are, but they're not really'

Yep. Definitely you! :D
