David Icke - what's your opinion of him?

Recommended Posts

What evidence?.. What other source of information do they have access to that isn't governed by the establishment?.. what do they know beyond what they have read, what they've watched on tv, or what they've been told.. what is there to evaluate beyond this?.

What nonesense are you on about - who is this "establishment" that govern all information. There are books on many subjects that will give very different views on the same subject - eg history, politics, economics. And there must be a website for nearly every view imagineable.

Not as simple as that - for instance the banking crisis involved some people who would normally be thought of as very competent indeed. A lot of people were allowed to take huge risks with vast sums of money. Since deregulation in the 80's this has delivered huge growth for the economy of the world and so regulation became lax - and the system crashed - just as it did in the '20's. Nobody "decided" we needed a banking crisis to control the masses.
Yet it wasn't the masses that decided to bail out the banks was it, it was decided for us wasn't it, by the very same people that are now rewarding those that made the "**** up" .

What would you say if a business was being run this way?

Aren't people over analysing this? David Icke clearly had some form of breakdown and is a bit of a mentalist. If some tramp came up to you in the street ranting about alien lizards taking over the world, you wouldn't stop and listen you'd just cross the road and ignore him, so why should we take any notice of what Icke says?

Because he doesn't just rant about alien lizards. Many posts in this thread acknowledge he has some legitimate points to make. Take what you will.

The people who made decisions about the bail out were largely the politicians - our elected representatives. It looks like the reward that many get will be being booted out at the next election.

Of course our views on a paticular subject will differ, because they are only our views, they are not what is claimed to be factual evidence that has been gift wrapped and presented to us.

People may be forgiven for thinking there's more to this than mere incompetence. More a fundamentalist religious belief in deregulation that many economists were going blue in the face warning of its inevitable unsustainability.

I don't think the conspiracy was to bring it all down, but rather this always was an acceptable setback for the people holding the chips since they'll just move them to another table. It looks like people are still voting for these corrupt private banks with their money regardless.

Danot apart from the banking crisis and subsequent bail outs what specifically are the other "problems" that you refer to?

The "problem-reaction-solution" theory that David Icke speaks of in his lectures.

That's my question that you snipped, would you care to comment on it?
