Bilge
Not very good really. But if the food is free with your vouchers I suppose there are worse places. Not much of a recommendation though.
taxman
HMRC aren't welcome in the Cafe Rouge on Ecclesall Road after an "incident" during our office Christmas party a few years ago.
crookesey
Well I suppose that I just convert £12.50 worth of Tesco vochers into £50.00 worth of Cafe Rouge vouchers, nothing lost really, but thanks for the comments. Looking at the menu they could do worse than two starters and a desert apiece.

LJB23
I really like cafe Rouge at Peace Gardens, but the one on Eccy road is rubbish. Strada is also very nice, been here about 6 times.

Looking at the menu they could do worse than two starters and a desert apiece. Thing is crookesey, you could go and find that you really enjoyed yourself. It's down to personal taste and opinion really. Whilst you've got the chance of 'doing it on the cheap', it kind of makes sense to do it so whatever you think of it, you can cross it off your 'must do' list. Picnic
I've not been for a couple of years. The one on Eccy Road used to have a tremendous chef called Gab, but he moved to his native France and opened a restaurant there. His cuisine was superb. perplexed
Cafe Rouge are nothing like as good as they think they are. It's ok, but nothing special, and overpriced for what it is, in my opinion.
aeinstein199
If you want French Bistrot Pierre is much better IMO
