al_partridge
What's cost Wednesday as much as anything is our abject failure to perform in the "must-win" games against other relegation candidates. Since we got sucked into the relegation mix around November time, we've played plenty of games against teams around us in the table when if we'd won we'd have either pulled away or overtaken/caught up those teams. Obviously a lot of them aren't in the mix now because they've put some results together since, but at the time we played these games they were right down there (apart from Bristol City who I've also included because it was clearly a must-win game). Even the game against Doncaster, less than 2 months ago, we were level on points with them going into the game. Ipswich (a) 0-0 Reading (h) 0-2 Peterborough (h) 2-1 Scunthorpe (a) 0-2 Plymouth (h) 2-1 Doncaster (h) 0-2 Ipswich (h) 0-1 Reading (a) 0-5 Derby (h) 0-0 Watford (h) 2-1 QPR (a) 1-1 Bristol City (h) 0-1 So 12 must-win crunch games have yielded just 3 wins, and we made very hard work of all of those as well. With 4 more must-win games to save our season, it doesn't bode well...
SiSiSi
That's just the point, teams that get relegated are worse than all the others!
Astonblade
Can't see it to be honest. As much as I'd like them to go down Wednesday seem to pull results out of the hat when it matters most. Wouldn't surprise me that much if they get a win at Boro, scrape a 1-0 against us, and beat palace on the last day. Hope I'm wrong tho!!!

With the exception of Cardiff at home, Wednesday's good performances have almost all been away, against teams higher in the league at the time. Bristol City were there for the taking when we played them at Ashton gate in October , but we settled for a point. A good point, but that could have been more as well. geocol
time for some positive waves. wednesday will stay up. There is already a big hole in the prayer mat! Not as big as in the defence at Reading, mind!
scoobydotcom
A very nervous Hillsborough yesterday, strange atmosphere and it translated onto the pitch. Hopefully the fact that the remaining two home games will bring big attendances and a lot of vocal support will lift the players. There is no time to be nervous from now on. That Chris Brunt goal will hopefully have hit Watford hard and the loss of Tom Cleverly will be big for them. We need sommat different upfront and im hoping JJ can get fit for Satuturday and we play him upfront, that could be the difference Middlesborough aren't the best at home so we've got every chance
