sccsux
This sounds like good news to me, but no-one is talking about it. Why not? I posted this a few days ago here. Notice how the Tory supporters avoided answering....

Gordon can't have it both ways...if the recession was due to global forces then why is the recovery down to him?

Fair point, but by the same token, if the recession was down to him, so must be the recovery.

Sausage Dog
So was the recession down to him,do you think? I think it was down to a mixture of global conditions, exacerbated by local circumstances. So, around 70-80% of the cause is down to the global banking system collapsing due to an over-extension of credit; around 20-30% is down to successive British Governments not getting a grip on the City of London (in fact, not even bothering to get a grip). I'd expect this from the Tories, because of their traditional laisez-faire approach, but hoped that Labour would be different. Shows how wrong you can be. Sausage Dog
If the tories got in in May and we see a 3.7% growth..who'll be responsible? It seems to me that politicians always blame the 'last lot' when things go wrong, for up to 12 months after they have been elected - so why not give the last lot the praise? truman
It seems to me that politicians like to take credit for anything goo, even id it's nothing to do with them and they like to ship the blame for the bad stuff....very few of them hold their hands up and say "OK,my fault, sorry"

This is true...Been kept fairly quiet in some sections of the press hasn't it, presumably because it doesn't fit their agendas...
