cgksheff
I have just come across this. People in the UK promise to cast their General Election vote according to the choice of a person in Afghanistan, Bangladesh or Ghana. Publicity gives information about UK party policies to interested folk in those three countries and individuals sign up to send their wishes. A randomised program links 'wishers' in the 3 countries to 'promisees' in the UK and text messages cross the globe and theoretically foreigners have an influence on the outcome of the General Election. The theory being that UK policies have such an influence on their lives, it is moral for them to have an input. http://giveyourvote.org/ http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/diaspora/artikel.php?ID=180118
Vague_Boy
Shame that "their" votes will make as little difference as ours do.

That kind of makes sense, but isn't it less moral for me to not have a vote? Because UK policies have more of an effect on my life.
